The real deal.
Every position is built from research and Pro Tour-level data. It's a training tool, not a novelty.
He spent months choosing his driver. He has boxes of balls, a drawer of gloves, and at least one gadget still in its packaging. Forget the usual suspects: another polo (straight to the wardrobe), more golf balls (lost by October), or a voucher (the gift that says you ran out of ideas).
But there's one thing he doesn't have yet - a gift that will help him improve at the game he loves.

A training mat that shows him exactly where his feet and the ball should be for each club - sized to his height, built from research and Pro Tour-level data. He lays it down at the range, matches his setup to the markings, and builds a foundation he can repeat every time.

Sized to his height and customisable with his own unique positions, no matter his level (beginner to elite).
A consistent setup means tighter shots and real confidence standing over the ball. That's why he'll roll it out every range session.
Research shows one ball-width of setup inconsistency can add up to 22 feet of dispersion with a 7-iron. Kim et al., 2018. He'll know exactly why that matters - and that's the point.
A note from the founder
I named the company after a place (Skunk Works) where outsiders built things that actually worked. Stance IQ is built the same way: research-backed, stripped of gimmicks, designed to be useful the day you lay it down.
Not a quick fix. One small piece of a very large, complex puzzle - but one of the best pieces to start with.

All you need is his height
No handicap required, no swing questions - his height picks the size. Not sure if he's right- or left-handed? About 9 in 10 golfers are right-handed - and right-handed golfers wear their glove on the left hand. If you get the size wrong we'll swap it free.
Most golfers spend their practice sessions working on their swing. The research says the problem often starts earlier at setup. The stance width and ball position change the shot before you ever begin the backswing.
